Terms of use
These terms cover your use of www.movexer.com, the MOVEXER customer portal and our calls, texts and e-mail. Your actual move is governed by the Agreement for Moving Services, not by this page. Last updated October 26, 2026.

1. The website is not the moving contract
Requesting an estimate, uploading photos, viewing a proposal or messaging us through this website does not create a contract to move your goods. The services, rates, declared value, valuation option and Not to Exceed price for your move are set out in the Agreement for Moving Services required by California’s Maximum Rate Tariff 4, which both you and MOVEXER sign. Where this page and your Agreement differ, the Agreement controls for your move.
2. Estimates and prices
- Information you see online before we have reviewed your goods — including anything in the estimate request, on landing pages or in messages — is not an estimate and is not binding. California law is explicit that verbal and online rate quotations are not estimates.
- A written Estimated Cost of Services or proposal issued by MOVEXER after a photo review or visual inspection is binding on MOVEXER for the scope it describes. If you change the scope (items, services, access conditions, dates) the proposal must be revised and reissued before it is binding again.
- The Not to Exceed price written on your Agreement is the most you can be charged for the services listed, plus charges on any Change Order for Services you approve.
- Any minimum charges, travel-time policy and valuation charges are stated in your proposal and Agreement.
3. Customer portal
- You are responsible for keeping your login confidential and for activity under your account. Tell us promptly at hello@movexer.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
- Actions you take in the portal — accepting a proposal, signing an Agreement, approving a Change Order — are recorded with your typed name, the time and your network address and are intended to be legally binding electronic signatures under the California Uniform Electronic Transactions Act. You may request paper documents at any time.
- Information you provide must be accurate and complete. Omitting items, access conditions or building requirements may lead to a revised proposal or a Change Order on moving day.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to: upload content that is unlawful, infringing or that you do not have the right to share; upload photos of people without their consent; attempt to access other customers’ data or our systems; scrape, probe or overload the site; submit false requests; or use the site to send unsolicited messages. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms.
5. Photos and content you upload
You keep ownership of photos and content you upload. You grant MOVEXER a limited license to store, view and use them to review, price, plan and perform your move and to handle any claim. We do not publish customer photos.
6. Loss, damage and claims
Valuation coverage for your goods is set in your Agreement (Basic coverage at 60 cents per pound per article is included; Actual Cash Value and Full Value protection are available). Claims must be made in writing within nine months after delivery, as described in the consumer booklet, and are handled according to Maximum Rate Tariff 4: acknowledged in writing within 30 days and paid, declined or settled within 60 days of receipt. Limitations on a mover’s liability are listed in the booklet.
7. Reviews and third-party content
Reviews shown on this site are reproduced from Google and Trustpilot as published. Links to other websites are provided for convenience; we are not responsible for their content or policies.
8. The website itself
The website is provided “as is”. We work to keep it accurate and available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access or that every page is free of errors. Site content, design and code are owned by MOVEXER or its licensors and may not be copied for commercial use. To the extent permitted by law, MOVEXER is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the website; nothing here limits our responsibilities for your move under your Agreement or California law.
9. Communications & customer relationship
9.1 Service communications
By requesting an estimate, creating an account or using our services, you agree that MOVEXER may contact you by phone call, text message (SMS) and e-mail, at the phone number and e-mail address you provide, about your request and the services you ask for — for example estimate follow-up, appointment and crew-arrival notices, documents to sign, receipts, balance reminders and claims. These are service messages, not advertising. You can stop texts at any time by replying STOP; we will then keep you informed by e-mail, phone and the portal, because some notices (such as your Agreement and receipts) are required to perform the move.
9.2 Customer relationship program
When we have performed a service for you, you become part of our customer relationship program. That means we may follow up about the service you received: satisfaction surveys, review requests, reminders about claims deadlines or documents, and service reminders related to your move or storage. These relationship messages are informational. You can ask us to stop them at any time by replying STOP to a text, using the preferences in your portal, or contacting us.
9.3 Marketing messages — only with your separate opt-in
We send promotional offers, discounts and moving tips only if you opt in separately, by checking an unchecked box that is not a condition of any purchase. Marketing texts may be sent with automated technology. You can withdraw marketing consent at any time and by any reasonable means: reply STOP to a text, use the unsubscribe link in any marketing e-mail, change your preferences under Account → Communication preferences in the portal, or tell us by phone or e-mail. We honor opt-outs immediately and in all cases within 10 business days. Marketing texts are sent only between 8 AM and 9 PM Pacific time.
9.4 Call recording
Calls may be recorded for quality; you will be notified at the start of the call. We also use recordings for training and record-keeping. California law requires the consent of everyone on a recorded call; if you prefer not to be recorded, tell us and we will continue without recording or by another channel.
9.5 Your phone number
You confirm you are the subscriber or customary user of the phone number you give us. If you change or give up that number, please update it in the portal or tell us, so we do not text the next owner of the number.
10. SMS Terms
- Program name: MOVEXER Customer Messages, operated by MOVEXER.
- What you will receive: service texts about your estimate request, appointments, crew arrival, documents, payments and follow-up after your move (sections 9.1 and 9.2); and, only if you opted in separately, occasional offers and moving tips (section 9.3).
- How you opt in: by giving us your mobile number with your consent when you request an estimate or create an account, by checking the separate marketing box, or by texting us first.
- Message frequency varies with the activity on your request or move.
- Msg & data rates may apply. Charges are billed by your mobile carrier under your plan.
- To stop: reply STOP (or STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, QUIT, REVOKE or OPT OUT) to any text. You will receive one confirmation text and no further texts. Reply START to re-subscribe to service texts.
- For help: reply HELP to any text, or contact us at hello@movexer.com.
- Carriers: compatible with major U.S. carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
- Eligibility: you must be 18 or older and the account holder of the mobile number, or have the account holder’s permission.
- Privacy: we do not sell, rent or share your mobile number or text-message opt-in with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. See our Privacy Policy.
11. E-mail
Service e-mails about your request and move are sent as long as you have an active request, move or account. Marketing e-mails identify MOVEXER as the sender, include our postal address and a working unsubscribe link, and stop within 10 business days of your request.
12. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Disputes about a move are handled as your Agreement and Tariff 4 provide, including the right to file a complaint with the Bureau of Household Goods and Services (1-833-488-2327) and to bring a claim in small claims court or another court of competent jurisdiction in Orange County, California.
13. Changes and contact
We may update these terms; the current version is always at /terms with its “last updated” date. Material changes to how we contact you will not apply to messages you already consented to without telling you first. Questions: MOVEXER · hello@movexer.com.
